Discover the mountains of Soule!

The activities are multiple ... walking, canyoning, caving, horse riding, ... We propose a walk to the highest summit of Soule: an easy and grandiose hike to the Pic d'Orhy, the highest point of Soule straddling the border, offering vast panoramas. The first "two-thousandths" of the Pyrenees since the Ocean!

In the background, the Orhy peak emerges from the Iraty forest and dominates the Holzarté and Kakouetta canyons. In the hollow of the valley, the capricious wake of the Gave is punctuated by white villages with slate roofs. Haute Soule, a discreet province of Euskal Herria, reveals the Basque soul, which has its roots in the heart of a grandiose setting... The pigeons have made this their favourite route, and pilgrims have followed these paths lined with Romanesque chapels. During the transhumance, the shepherds and their flocks have always come across hordes of pillagers, smugglers or lovers of open spaces...
