Event Mauléon: ‘pastoralism’ sound exhibition

This artistic installation is a sound archive produced in Gipuzkoa between 2009 and 2015, immersing the public in a world of sound made up of over 11 hours of herd bell sounds. The sounds are accompanied by cards that provide information about the recording conditions. Although many studies have been published on the subject of pastoralism, few have been produced in sound format. This exhibition offers new content for the anthropological discipline, highlighting the effects of pastoralism on the environment.

In anticipation of the creation of a branch of the Musée Basque in Mauléon, the municipality, the Institut Culturel Basque and the Musée Basque have joined forces to host this exhibition.

It's happening at the Maison du Patrimoine - 10, rue Jean-Baptiste Heugas in MAULEON!
